msa 2040 recovery

January 12th, 2025, 7:04

hello
I have a backup
But on the Msa2040 storage, several virtual disks were damaged. What software should I use to recover? HP company has not yet responded even though I sent them a ticket.
I tried to recover the volumes with some software, but the recovery process is very slow. What is a good software for this?
I asked an expert who had a pc3000 to tell me the number on your hard drive and bring me 4 to 4 hard drives, then I will make a read with it and recover the RV image for you.

pc3000 is probably the way to go as its the most powerful.

Tell us the model of each drive and upload the SMART attributes.

hi dear, idont have pc3000 sas card, i want to recover my data via software, i try some software but is ver slow .
Considering that the two controllers of the msa 2040 device probably prevent fast reading from hard drives or raid

The point is the long recovery time. I wanted to take an image of the raids with the software and then recover on them. But it also takes time.
Another idea I have is to number the hard drives and put them one by one on a server and put the controller in HBA mode and take an image from it with the software, then convert the image to raid and recover from it, but I have no experience with this.

And the important question is this?
If I put the hard drive on the hp dl380 g9 server with the p440 controller in host bus adapter mode to take an image from it, might it damage the read hard drive?
