Hello
I'm writing to you for a little information. I was given a hard drive to try to recover data.
It starts up fine, but first I'd like to make an image of the hard disk.
My first question is what software do you use to do this?
I was told about partedmagic and the ddrescue command.
I typed that but I don't understand what it is and if it's good.

ddurescue --force - vdn /dev/sdx /dev/sda hdd.img.bin log.txt

The disk to be copied is the SDX and must go to an external SDA hard disk.

Sorry for the translation, I use a software
