ATA locked WD HDD and Kingston SSD

July 25th, 2025, 4:55

Hi,

My mate has a PC he hasnt used for a while, its an ASRock B550m mobo and 2 drives have passwords installed
WDC WD5000AAKX-75U6AA0
KINGSTON SA400S37480G

In Victoria they both say ON, High, Locked

I have downloaded UBCD and tried the ATA unlocker but it cant find either drive.
I have installed the drives in my older i5 3rd gen Gigabyte mobo and set it to CSM and SATA mode to IDE but it still cant detect them.

Is there any hope for these drives?

Thanks
