Is it possible to download the BIOS program in this state without soldering the chip?

Okay, after a brief break, I'm back on topic.

Unfortunately, the drive has stopped responding in the meantime.

The Maxtor chip has been moved to a new PCB, but to no avail. Both the Maxtor and the PMIC are still shorted. Is there anything else I can do about this?

Okay, I've read a bit more about it and learned about the hot swap method.

However, I'm having trouble finding a donor. The only SAMSUNG HD103UJ drives I can find have the 88i8826E-BAN2 controller (mine is the 88i8827-TFJ2).
I also found an HD103SJ drive, which has the 88i9025-TFJ2 controller. I understand that won't work and I should look for something perfectly matched ??
