Hello,
I have one- Western Digital 2TB My Pasport Ultra HDD which has Wd20NMVW inside, Due to some usb malfunction on my PC the drive has now stopped working. when i connect to ANY PC it will not show up in BIOS. Just the front led lights up and HDD gets warm. I want to recover data from this Drive.
I saw some similar drive available on ebay, can i buy those drive swap the PCB, change HDD BIOS from olde drive to new pcb )and try to start the drive ? any other options > please guide.

what do you see? I don't see an image. I'm dealing with the same thing with my 4TB WD drive. I've tried following fzabkar's https://forum.hddguru.com/memberlist.ph ... le&u=13702 posts too and no luck yet. But others have had success. That person knows what they are talking about. I hope they look at my post. I will keep an eye on your post and update mine https://forum.hddguru.com/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=45775 if I find a solution .
