WD20EFZX - 2TB - no life signal

Here's the situation: I bought 10 of these drives about five years ago, discarded six immediately, and saved four for better times. Today I wanted to use them, but unfortunately, two of them are dead. The drives have never been formatted, taken straight out of the packaging to check if they work, and have been sitting in a drawer for five years.

There are no signs of life on the drives, no output on the terminal, and the TVS seems fine, but the situation is as in the picture. The measurement is 0V in each case, and all of them are shorted.

I would appreciate any help. As I said, there's no data, but with the current drive prices, it would be nice to get these drives working again.

As I see it, either the motor controller is shorted internally, or one of those capacitors is shorted.

They're in parallel. What else would you expect?
