Can someone please tell me how to access or fix a HD firmware?

I'm not sure what tools need to be used.

I know that you can access the firmware using a firmware upgrade provide by manufactur and you can use an VS ata command or you can try SalvationData - PC3000 or HRT products.
Has people here that know others ways including some things that are very cheap, lets wait to see if they will tell you and to all of us.
I saw here one info about one software to do this job, I ask at the post and I sent message to the guy that wrote it, but he never answer me, maybe you will have better lucky I hope.

Ah, this question and subject has been spoken about so often
and mostly the answer is go to tt13_org - here there is so much information
most of which must be known but little of which is needed for soft_repair of drives. 8)
