Thank you Vi, I will keep on triying, but if I got nothing after that it will be difficult to convince me not to use a cracked version. Thanks again.

This is a bit strange. If a company wants to sell a product, it has at least to answer emails... They look like they want their clients to lick acelab's ass. Hehe. This is really frustrating.

I know a lot (more than 10) of issues when somebody (english-speaking) want buy pc3k, but acelab never replies. (I even do not speak abou the support now)

And here is one more thing to think about:
You can communicate with acelab. Then definitely:
1. You speak Russian

and

2. You have enough time to play in acelab's games "sorry we found some difficulties, wait more!"

BVG is even MUCH worse crap (if "worse" is possible at all).

PS. What I really glad to see that Acelab staff really studied their native language. And Sergei Yatsenko now speaks almost Russian language. He-he.

All this posts makes me wonder if I am taking the "hard way" approaching on this subject... Maybe it would be better (if not easier) to find some russian recovery expert who would be willing to accept me as slave while I learn russian and recovery techniques... I learn fast.

Hi,

It is strange that U could not contact them. When I asked for a quote they replied the very same day. This is not true for the support, sometimes I had to wait some 10 days.
The problem is that their principals of busines is some kind of different from mine. We were preparing the contract (in fact it was almost signed), then I was asked for some bank data. I replied only 6 weeks later for some reason, then they told me the price list changed and I have to dig 700 euros deeper into my pocket. I have not received even a notification like Hey kid, we're gonna feed our prices, order it now or U have to pay some more $$$$.
So sometimes life is not easy, but we have 2 choices:
1. Wether we try to buy something for a big bunch of money, or
2. we make our own utilities, which definitely takes some of our precious time.
(I don't mention the 3rd: to buy chinese stuff, I don't really like that idea.)

If they really need - they can find the way. I know people who get acelab tool in that time when acelab officially refuse sold product out of Russia.
From China for example ( 2 year ago? )

This is why i say about "trusted person in Russia" who can understand what difficulties they have, and what to do to solve it. Selling inside Russia more simple then outside of Russia.

Half year ago, then need i get something from acelab for someone, i get tools from acelab in 1 month, look like it's close to minimal time for christmas ( in case if you don't travel to acelab dealer yourself )

Good idea, International dealer based in CSI.

but will ACE allow to sell anywhere, seems to me they trying to control the pc3k world and who buys what, where and when.

Unfortunately you are not right - to acelab all the same, they include part of technology what ruin hdd repair market and sell at very cheap price.

IMHO, it is other history - taxes in Russia, you should live here to understand...

Canadian taxes are pretty heavy from my understanding. When I contacted Ace in Candada, I was quoted something like $7,000 Canadian dollars (about 24% less than US $). I later spoke with them and they informed me that they had given me the Canadian price. The US price would be $7,000 USD. There explanation was that the lower price in Canada was due to the higher taxes. So, it looks like they are subject to a 24% tax rate on purchases like this. Or, perhaps they were just trying to take me for a ride.

Hi Deave,

It would be interesting to know what they included in the package :

Products
Hardware
Support
etc.

The $7,000 (not an exact figure but close) was for the PC-3000 PRO Workstation. It includes a P4 PC, XP, PC-3000 Pro Utilities, 1 year warranty w/ 7 day turnaround & technical support for 3 months. It did not include data extractor or the 1 year upgrade license. Both of these are recommended. Together they would add about $3,000 to the price.
