Get GET DATA BACK program. Install it on another PC and insert this "formated" HDD as secondary disk. RUN program and recover data from this to another HDD. It is MOST IMPORTANT that you DO NOT install program on this HDD if you don not wish to overwrite data!! Everithing is still there, yust dont write anithing on it until You restore what you need.

Sorry for my English but i think you will get the point :D If you need any help, just ask.

there are some choices:

1. officerepair premium ( look for it in the net )

2. docrepair , excelrepair ( look in the net )

this soft can rebuild the files , but some of the contetnts
can be lost... i mean in some cases you wont get the whole file
only part of it.

3. try using finaldata software they have office files repair options
built in the recovery software.

PM me if you need more help

Hmm, i done some data recovery only for myself few times. I am not proffesional, but when i decide to do something...i can spend a lot of time to do that :D. It is not good if you install windows on the sam disk, but i dont belive that you really can not get any old data ? Are you sure that you done everything right with GDB program? Or maybe you can realy send me PM with your MSN account. We can go step by step "live" :D

To sutiono668:

There are in fact a lot of data recovery programs around, but speaking for myself I'm very conservative in what concerns to applications. 13 years of intensive work with computers proved that most applications are just crap, specially freeware (that's why I was so amazed with this wonderful piece of software named MHDD). So don't waste much time jumping from one program to another just to find that they do exactly the same.

I've been using Easy Recovery Professional for many years, and I can assure you it's an excellent file recover program. Try it, but don't expect too much in your specific case. At this time, the file related information necessary to "unformat" your partition by iterative methods is probably gone. You must use an hexadecimal editor to join pieces. Winhex (another great program) will be of great help, because it recognizes a lot of different file formats.

About Office documets repair, Easy Recovery is shit. I've used successfuly the repair feature in Office 2003 for 2 or 3 times for Word documents. About Excel worksheets, I've done more times manual recovery than automatic one, so I really can't advise you.

Hope this helps.

Daniel

Aryes,

I used EasyRecovery dozens of times with excellent results in pretty bad situations. However, I'm not sure if we are talking about the same. I consider EasyRecovery a excelent tool in its field, which is file system structure, not damaged media.

But since most of you have more experience than me, it would be great if you could tell me about other tools you consider better. I'm conservative with applications, but I'm not stupid :-)

Daniel

hey Daniel

easy recovery doesnt recover folder and file names
it just creates folder for each fyle type.. not handy if you have a few thousand or hundred files... :D

you can use several programs wich are unicode also :

1. final data
2. r-studio
3. active undelete
