Hy i have some problems i received a Maxtor 2F040L071063A to recover data, so i first check with mhdd and found some error UNC errors like 126 errors , so i use pc3000 with Ares64 option and no problem was able to recalibrate in standard mode, then i read memory into file and make a loader, all was sucefull, Then i chek firmware are was ok. no problem in SA. then i leave and use Data Extractor ,was able to read passport, but when i try with Explorer to access data show me LBA O Count error. so i try another option in Data Extractor Make data copy and select the file size , But when gone to read Passport begin to make knocking sound so i turn off, all and check , and put pc3000 in safe mode, and try to load the loader , but when i try to loader option begin again to make knocking sound, i try with load first ROM and load ROM and Modules but with both option its makinkg knock sound, whats happend, any idea, thanks

Next time you get 2F040L0 with 126 errors in MHDD you get the data and leave ace to one side.

Maxtor don't like sector 0, so I think they allow this sector to be read
about 100 times then they make it bad - I am sure they got something
like this built in mp to increase production.

Some mp does same with sector 63 just to confuse us.

Ares suffer worst media errors of all maxtors.
