Hi all :D

In the past, I've encountered many HDD lock that I couldn't unlock with MHDD or other util. I have the user password but the drive is removed from the laptop. I am trying to unlock it on a PC using MHDD, but so far no luck.

My question here is .....

- How many different types/methods of HDD locking is used on a laptop?
- Do I need the same model of laptop in order to unlock this drive with known user password?

Any suggestion or comment is :wink:

You need the encryp keys for translation between laptop keyboard and I/O port characters

eg A =126 IBM
A=232 on Toshiba
A=222 on Toy Towns R Us

Just an example, these are not real keys
