HELP ON MY SEAGATE WITH BADBLOCKS

February 11th, 2006, 19:06

I need help , im trying to use mhdd to wipe away a few bad blocks that i have on my disk. [reallocate them] , SMART status show "reallocated count=0" , so i think the table is empty. But when i run mhdd scan+remap mode it detects a few bad blocks between sector 79100 and 79300 but i don't know why they're not remaped. so when i rerun mhdd blocks are still there. Is there any way to make this work ?
Another question , is it possible manually say what sectors should be remmaped ? I'd like to remap all sector from 79000 to 79500 just in case. Is there any tool able to let me do this.
Thank you

hi,
- try Victoria , next erase 256 sector.
