Hi All,

I have this seagate HDD - ST93015A (a 2.5" drive).

One fine day when i tried to start my compaq pressario, i got this error

"Drive error"

Realized must be a problem with my HDD. i got it replaced.

Now that i need to recover data from this drive. i attached my dead drive to my desktop using the usb interface. Win2k does not detect the usb mass storage drive , nor does my bios (though it did on the first attempt).
When powered on the i cud hear a spinning sound and clicks.

Surfing the net , i realized my best bet wud be to buy a another identical hdd and try replacing the logic board.

Please advice.

ei bro! im not realy a master on HDs' but i experienced those problems myself and i solved them myself.. maybe you can try first the connections before jumping on to buying a new HD. who knows..
