January 31st, 2007, 5:44

Hi everybody, I'm new in the forum, and I have a trouble with two components of the logic board of two hdds, the components burnt because of a power supply and I can't see what is the number of the component, the hdds are one barracuda 7200.9 300Gb and a Barracuda of 120 Gb, Image

If anyone of you HDDGurus could tell me what is the component maybe I'll can replace it. Thanks in advance.

PD.- Sorry for my English, and thanks again.

You don't need to replace it by anything.

Ok, thanks again, then i suppose that I only have to remove the burnt component, don't need to join the contacts of the diode?. Thanks

You do not have to join contacts. All you have to do is to remove the diode.
