Seagate Momentus 5400.3 can detect in OS, but unaccesible

Hi Gurus, all

I have this external HD(Laptop disk drive) just apparently a few months back. One night i tried to access this HD and connect via 4 port HUB usb. For second slot of usb hub, i plug another HD. This time the seagate HD started make a beep beep sound. I rushed to stop the seagate HD in windows, it was failed and straight away i plugged out the drive. I assumed because of lack of power in usb and cause the drive don't have enough power. Then i try plug in back, it shows the device and the disk drive.

When i tried to access the seagate HD back it make my computer and disk management Hanged and freeze. I tried to access in DOS(windows environment) but it takes some times and show inpage failure operation. I started to panic as a lot of files inside(this time already start the frustation as no backup at all because assuming this is a brand new drive).

What's all your suggestion? i was thinking to plug in directly to ata cable and see whether the bios can detect or not. Have all of you encountered the same problem? i have been informed this laptop drive is very sensitive. What is the best solution for me now? thanking you in advance.

Below is my HDD information

Seagate Momentus 5400.3
80 GB

Ummm, better try to disable detection of the Momentus HDD in BIOS using IDE converter for 2.5" HDD first, just make sure : don't enter the system to Windows mode.

Don't forget to unplug other HDDs you may have form your system.
Disable the SMART check in BIOS first and boot using MHDD floppy.
Check it using MHDD and scan only (F4-F4)...Post the MHDD log here, and let's see what really happened to your hard drive.
