hi, im a newby in this. my external hdd started with read problems, and when trying to get the data out with getyourdataback for fat. it died. stoped making read noise and not recognized by BIOS anymore.
all the problem began when i did a change in partition size. the partition was not recognized, then i tried gydb for fat to recover the data and then it died.

how could i know if its a heads problem or a pcb? im lookinfor a donor disk already. im doing all this because i cant afford the U$s600 that data back companies charge me.

the disk:
seagate 250 gb ide 7200.8
model st3250823a
firmware 3.01
serial n 5nd06fvv

in advance thanks

the conection setingd were: flux control: nothing
