ih, this is a continuation oof an old post. my drive stopped beeing recognized by bios. it spins, but no read/write noise. i build the Seagate-RS-232-adapter but when connected, nothing happens. i dont know if that means that the adapter is not working or the drive controller is not working.
i conected and hyper trminal throws nothing.
the conection setingd were: flux control: nothing
parity: nothing
bauds: 2400
data bits:8
what should i do?

If you want its data it is better for you to send it to DR Company. Dont play with it if you dont know what exactly it done to your harddrive caused you need is DATA not Your DRIVE.
