Help: Seagate terminal in PC3000 - error

The error message is " Terminal : reply timeout error "

I have installed the cygnus driver for USB - COM properly
I have set the baud rate correctly and the COM port correctly but i still could not get into terminal.

Any idea guys?

I think you might have connected the wrong pins on the small seagate terminal socket, try reversing the socket.

Label "PC-SEAGATE"
Where P in on the red ribbon cable (pin 1)

Set as com port3 it should work

Connect like this? On the six pins nearest the IDE connector

Make sure COM is set to correct (3 or 4) in the PC3000 setup.

If you have it setup Ok, the +5V light (red) and the RxD light (yellow) should both be on, and when you apply power to the HDD the RxD light will go off then start to flicker as the drive sends data through the serial port.
