Hi,

SP0401 probably has head failure, U can try platter swap to a matching donor.

try a SW reset on the first one, does it get ready after?

Hi Pepe,

SP0401 = Platter Change ? or Head Stack Assembly Change
SP0842N = SW Reset [ Please Explain ]

in SP0401 U cannot change MHA without taking off the platter first, so it is much easier to swap the platter than the MHA.
This is the same with the slim maxtors...

SP0842:
what does it react on a SW reset? does it show DRD, DSC?

regards,
pepe
