Hi there Gurus,

Im in a need of help of what to do with Maxtor that detected as N40P. I downloaded the firmware from internet. And now I also downloaded HDD Repair 2.0. Can HDD Repair 2.0 solve N40P case? Now can anyone please guide me how to solve N40P problem step by step with HDD Repair 2.0? I've been trying to find the manual for the HDD Repair 2.0 but I can't seem to find it anywhere. Any help from Gurus here will be very much appreciated.

Not unless you have proper tools, like PC3000 or Salvation.

These are not free, sorry :-(

In fact, we have free software for Maxtor Firmware Repair.A freeware of Salvation HDD Lab aiming at solution for typical firmware malfunction of Maxtor 541DX (2B020H1 2B010H1), which may manifest itself as follows: 1. HDD is not identified or identified by its factory alias "Maxtor Athena"; 2. HDD starts the motor and then hangs.
