Hi,
also check head map in ROM, should the drive have disabled heads U might get surprised also.

I encountered that problem already Amarbir.
Some drives with equal partnumber and dcm can have different disabled/missing heads.
If a different head is disabled, the drive will start clicking; if a different head is missing, a head transplant will not work
