If you install Windows in a New machine whit the same Hard Disk and you have Blue Screen, its probably you have a lot of sector damage, dont wais youre time install a new drive, because youre segate drive its gona be die..

what was the error message on the blue screen?
BSOD is a windows problem , not nessecarily a hard drive problem

You could try the Seagate "Seatools" software, from their site.
If the bad/weak sectors are minor, then it may well fix them for you.
BUT, this drive is NOT to be relied on, it IS dying.
Like inworld says, buy a new one if you can afford it.
