Hi,
Do any one have ROM for this WD2000JB-00HBB0, DCM: DSBHCTJAH.
I need this specific match because my clients ROM-Chip is blown.

The odd thing is that the only thing on that Pcb that's faulty is the ROM-Chip, if I replace the chip it works flawless.
And is there another way to make this drive alive again, beside an exactly match?

Regards

Bosse

HB should be SATA. Are you sure it's not JD?
What's your email?

Hi Starling, thanks for the ROM.
Of course you're right..shuld be JD...Drive is now sorted, an little update for you all of the solution:

The drive was completly dead.changed Pcb, drive spinns up, but knocked....so I then know that the fault was in the Pcb.
Tryed to read out the ROM, no contact with Pcb in safe mode either....tryed to read it out with soic-clip and external programmer, got a lot of errors....like over current and so.

Desolder the chip, and put on a donar Pcb....drive stone dead again???
So I delsolder the chip again put on my desk and took my external programmer with soic-clip...2 tries and error....third time BINGO...got the bin file out.
Took another donar Pcb, and reprogrammed the chip and the drive fired up ;-)
Then I put it in with MediaTools Pro and did a clone fast as possible....worked well, phoned up a very happy client.
He got photos from 2002...and no backup.....so now I think he will get one quick as hell ;-)

Regards

Bosse
