IVE CONVERTED MY 160 GB HARDDRIVE INTO AN EXTERNAL HARD DRIVE
HOWEVER IT HAS A PARTITION SO THAT ONLY 14GB IS FAT AND THE REMAINDER IS NTFS
WHAT I WOULD LIKE IS THAT IT ALL BECAME ONE HARD DRIVE AND ALL FAT OR FAT 32 IS THIS POSSIBLE
IM USING IT FOR MY FILLMS AND PICS TO WATCH THROUGH MY DVD PLAYER.
PLEASE HELP.

I don't think you can change from NTFS to FAT system, but yes from FAT to NTFS.
What you need to do is back up, and reformat and delete the partition.
But maybe there's a software out there which can do this, but as far as I know, you can't do it.
And please don't write with CAPITAL letters.

Hi,
To convert it to FAT32 you don't need to reformat the drive...Just get Partition Magic, and run it from Cd or floppy.
But remember that FAT32 has a file size limit of 2Gb, so if you plan to use it to save moviefiles larger than that you should covert the drive to NTFS.
And i'm with dav34, don't write with CAPITAL letters....It's very hard to read.

i dont think u can make a partition greater than 137gb in Fat32
file system .
