If that is what you used then it is wrong!
The master password would at least be WDCWDCWDCWDCWDCWDCWDCWDCWDCWDCW as written.
And I would say the user password also looks rather strange.

You might have to retrace your steps and check your method. Something dosn't look right!

AIUI, the user password precedes the master password, in which case it is filled with zeros. However, the leading bytes are 01 01 rather than 01 07, as in other hex dumps.

For Victoria for Windows you might have to set the bios into ide/compatibility or legacy mode.

You might also find the computer bios freezes the password function on boot. So you would have to plug in the power connection to the hard drive after the system has booted. With great care of course!

Hi guys...

I have Netbook Asus Eee with WDC WD1600BEVT - 22A23T0. I've tried to unlock it "M0RBI0US"'s way using MHDD, but my netbook doesn't have CD-ROM (I've already created bootable USB with Windows XP instead of CD), but I'm supposed to remove all drives except locked one. So then it says "Missing operating system".

Is there any option, how to fix it?

Thx

Yes. Put drive to a desktop machine and try the procedure.

hi all

I have a locked WD800UE , but the bin file looks different from the other ones in this thread.
It's an old 2.5 ATA 80GB drive which was used in a WD Passport enclosure but I was trying to put it in an old Acer laptop from which the Seagate drive was locked after upgrading the BIOS firmware.
But now the WD drive is locked as well :(
Any ideas ?

That's module 1Eh. You need module 02h.

Which script did you use?

BTW, you can see the structure of each module here:

Your drive does not appear to have a user password, only a default master password.
