so You are suggesting what?
that it is better for heads to go over the platters?
Yes it can be done using papper, but this is much better i think
Don't You agree?
btw: I am sure I changed more heads then You.

And another old wives' tale...

Most modern drives suffer no ill effects whatsoever if the heads are allowed to touch.

You will know you have a problem if they "stick" when you try to prise them apart. Granted, this will be too late, but with a little experience, you will learn to know which drives can safely come through the heads touching, and save yourself a lot of unnecessary trouble.

Any plans to market your own tools? You may not need to recover another hard drive again if you sell enough of them

Is this tool for sale yet? In December last year you said it will be ready for sale in 1 month.

Absolutely. The H.Ex (head extraction tool) is already in development - but the P.Ex (about to be launched) takes precedence.

And I have every intention of moving away from data recovery (perhaps not entirely) into other areas, such as R&D etc.

Watch the IT press for details...

What do you hope to achieve by claiming to have changed more heads than I?

As every woman says, it's not the quantity - it's the quality. Well, that's what I would prefer every woman to say!

Helpdisc, I cannot even begin to count how many head changes I have made. However, successful head changes are surely more important. You can have changed 20,000 heads badly - or 5,000 heads well. Which is better for business and for your clients?

Sir, I think that You need to behave like a gentleman with ladies and in buisnies, man asked me for a date not You.
As far as our tool, i hope this version 1.3 will be ready this week, we have found some problems with previos designs, and we want to go out on market with apsolutley working tool.
Our tool is good because in cases of bad motor, You can change heads witouth them tuching the surface. Even if motor is ok, baybe can change heads with this tool. I hope in Friday this week I will be able to put some more pictures.....
thanks for patience it will pay off

Is that the tool you recommended me to buy in my Momentus with stuck spindle post? I can imagine how this thing could help me bake small cakes, but not how it will secure a platter stack, actually, it looks too big to fit around the platters in a 2,5" drive.

So, getting back on topic ;-)

The video looks good. May I recommend a better microphone? I use a Zoom H2 for my video narration.

When are you making your tools available for purchase?

I don't need it yet, but my volume may be sufficient to require it soon. :)

Hi, in their "kit" there is a 2.5 version of their tool aswell...

Helpdisc: "this was mine post about NON salvation data tools..." of course it was, and still is :-) just a small detour...
