Hi Experts,

Thanks for your reply.

MHDD result
------------
ID / EID
LBA:0 , Size:0MB
This device does not support LBA mode. MHDD will not work on this device

RESET FAIL
RECAL FAIL
NHPA FAIL

CX (Seak & Read test)
! ERROR: Drive not responding or operation canceled
RECAL FAIL
Broken Drive

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

1.The Drive is spinning without any interruption.

3.Getting detected in the BIOS but reports 0MB size.

Any clue or any other tool to check with?

Hi Pepe Sir,

Waiting for your advice...

If anything to do with the PCB swap,
The drive has the PCB no.: 2061-701444-000 AA
This PCB does not come with the U12 module to swap from patient to donor.
So, will the Disk accept donor PCB without doing any U12 ROM chip transfer?

Hi Beto,

MHDD doesn't detect at all.
Atleast BIOS detects this disk as 0MB disk.

Any other inputs from ur experience?

Hi Pepe sir,

Thanks for your reply.

I just noticed that there is no firmware chip (8pin U12) in the PCB.
How to go about it?
I need the data badly.

Hi Beto,

Thanks for your reference.
I mistyped there. I wanted to ask about the "8pin U12 chip" which we usually swap, when we do pcb change.
In this particular model. The slot is found empty. I mean to say that there is a 8pin U12 chip slot, but found missing by default.

How to go about PCB change.

Sorry to ask, but did you recover the data from the HDD? I have the same kind of HDD and it crashed 1 month ago. Ordered a new PCB and now the HDD spins (didn´t with the old one) but it is not recognized by BIOS. Need the data badly.
