I have a Wetern Digital Scorpio WD-1200BEVS-60LATO having spinup problem. The motor starts but does not reach the desired speed and then spins down. Possibly a motor or a PCB issue. Has anyone faced this problem.

Sticky bearings or motor driver (combo) chip would be my first guess. An identical PCB (don't forget flash ROM swap!) would clarify the situation.
