Dears,

I have another question regarding compatibility for HDA replacement.
I have bad 6L250S0 model with parameters:
- Code BANC1G10
- N,M,C,A
- SN: 6L...
- TLA: 6L250S006731A; AAB

and I can buy something like this:
- 6L250R0
- K,G,C,A
- SN: 6L...
-TLA: 6L250R0A63401; AAB

I know compatibilty requirements for Maxtor drives but I can not find suitable drive. I am desperate now so help me please.

Thank you for any kind of help.

Regards,
Rafael

I don't think you'll be lucky replacing the heads from the 6L250R0 into the 6L250S0, but if you don't have any other option just try it.

Prodata,

does it mean all letter should match?
I have read that only third letter is important.

Hi,

at least first and last. But even this won't guarantee compatibility...

Pepe,

you are saving my money;) Thanks a lot.

BTW: Do you know other requirements?
As far as I know model and second letter of SN is important (number of heads).

P.S. There is something like AAB ( I saw AAA on similar model). What does it mean? Anybody know?

Regards,
Rafael
