Hello ,
I have done selfscan on 50 seagate ALPINE drive 40 of them were successfull but in the remaining 10 drives selfscan stopped at a point and in some i completed successfully but after restart the drive showed :
Error reading reserved track defect list .

What part of the firmware should i write to fix this problem ?

I have backed up APP code , cert code , cert table and Overlay before selfscan .

Thanks in advance .

Hi rameez

If the head(s) are ok , hot swap with an identical drive(same fw at least) helped me to resolve this problem.....but only if the heads are ok....

Of course. Hot swap option is only for repairing....after hot swap u need to play with adaptives and other options. So if u need the data u got to use another solution. Btw did u try using loader from pc3k pci?...
