Hi All,

I have had many Seagate HDDs recently with damaged PCBs, usually i have found the best way to ensure i am buying a compatible drive to use for a PCB is based on the following matching:

* Model #
* P/N
* Firmware
* Country of manufacture
* Make sure it's not a recertified or refurbished model.

My question is, do you find it necessary to match the 'config code' or any additional numbers from the label of the drive on Seagate drives for a PCB swaps?

Thanks in advance.
