Hi folks

A quick and simple question....

What sort of drive problems would re-writing or updating a drive's firmware fix?

Regards
Jack

Rewriting (with exception for unique parameters like error list an calibration) the firmware will make an inoperational drive run again, an update will fix bugs discovered in the previous versions of the FW like malfunctioning with some controllers etc.
Obviously the drive has to be working 100% in order to be updated.
