Ok, so I did something really stupid today.
Just got my new laptop. It came with 4 partitions, I wanted one more and I got a tip to try a software called BootIt new generation.
This of course because 4 partitions is max normally.
Before I changed my plans I had actually succeded in making the C drive smaller and I had new space which was unallocated.

Here´s the stupid thing. While is was working with this app my external hd was plugged in, so now I cant see it in windows explorer.
In Disk Management it is unallocated. Same thing in two different computers. The laptop is fine, it´s only the external hd which has problems.

Not so surprisingly I really want my data back. Any tips please.

After this happend I have not tempered with the hd, no recovery attempts. Nothing

Using WinVista and the hd is called Western Digital MyBook 250GB
