Guys, this is noluckday #2 now.
Time for weekend.
Got a WD3000JB in, spins up with a slightly grinding noise, clicks hard two times, spins down, spins up and so on. I'd guess the traces left on the platter(s) would be obvious when I take it to the clean room.
Next one on the bench is a Travelstar 20GB. I don't dare to start with it today...

Just wanted to let you know ;)
