I have a Micron 7450 SSD that went into a "Panic State" with about 1.5TB data written to it (it was used for a year or so before this happened).

Micron support says that doing a "Secure Erase" would bring it out of panic, but obviously that will also remove the data.

Is there a way to recover the data (presumably by clearing the panic state without erasing)?

Thank you!

Post some photos of it, specially the controller.
You probably need to contact a lab to retrieve your data.

Thanks. I should have noted that the data on there has already been recreated. I was asking in case there was some known method for recovering from the "Panic State", in case it happens again. We don't want to disassemble the drive because we intend to do the secure erase and - assuming that succeeds - continue to use the drive in the future.
