Controller chip is not communicating with the nand chip.

Maybe bad solder connection, but probably bad controller.

Very rare case - burnt NAND. Controller is died too. I got about 90-100 damaged flash drives, but I've never seen burnt NAND! Nothing possibilities to ged back data from this usb stick.

Hi Creator!

Because it has burnt certainty that NAND? :?:

Thanks advanced!

I don't think the nand is burnt, looks like glue marks to me.

Could be wrong though, the pic isn't too clear. (Or is it my eyes that aren't to clear?) ;-)

Creator,

NAND chips not have strong power pins like motor controllers, in this way, it can't be burned on the side. ;)
Only in the middle/center.

Really? And what can you say about controllers? It can't be burnt too?

I didn't observe glue, it looks like damage. :D

that nand is damaged heat outwards.
has taken a good wack for sure.

i would buy another usb pen and swap the flash memory over and see if its works
you might get lucky

Information for ALL!
NEVER do this if you want to get data back! With some controllers it works, but in some cases using resoldering of NAND chip to the donor PCB with simiral controller you have a big chance to lost data forever...Because some controllers erase newly soldered NAND chip (with data or without it is not important, chip will be filled by "0000" or "FFFF"- mostly depends on the controller vendor) Or you can try resoldering method, but before you should read and save a dumps from the NAND (e.g.using PC3K Flash)
