First of all, to buy this small amount of nand chips would be prohibitive.

Secondly, the on-board controller probably doesn't support the chips.

Thirdly, even if you satisfied both the aboive, it would take hours & hours to un-solder and re-solder the chips and run a great risk of ruining them.

I guess these "64Gb" were suspisciously cheap? A real 64Gb would cost about $120 minimum.

I had a real 64Gb in for recovery this week, 4 piggy-backed nand modules inside, each with 4 banks each. Nightmare!!! Data recovered 100% :-)

And the moral of this story is to NEVER buy flash memory devices from Chinese suppliers or from eBay as you are 100% guarranteed to be sold a fake.

The only way to be certain is to buy directly from a local reputable supplier.

Good job! I got similar case with 2 x 32GB sticks in. People just dont get how difficult these are. And customers perception is all wrong - 'how hard can it actually be to recover a simple memory stick '??

Our factory try to made 64GB, but not success. It is very unsteady. Easy to lose data. So My advice that dont buy 64GB or higher 64gb.
