Is it possible that different software would be able to recover my lost files that other programs wouldn't be able to. Meaning, should I keep trying different recovery programs on my SD card? My files are gone on my sandisk memory card extreme pro..

Yes, it's a good idea. Different file recovery programs use different recovery approaches, so result may be different. Also, even pay programs have a Demo mode that may let you estimate chances for success before buying them, so you may avoid money loss. But better do such estimations with the image of the SD card rather than with the card itself.

R-TT's software (R-Studio) is currently one of the best around. You should give it a go.

I'd recommend
R-Undelete. It has the same data recovery engine with R-Studio, but its wizard-style interface is more suitable for do-it-yourself file recovery.
This is the article explaining what to do for your case:

I will recommend you to look for a data recovery specialist nearby, and tell them what you need, since the card is still functioning, it shouldn't be so expensive YET.
