I have just realised I took photos on my camera about a year ago, i've tried to recover the images from my CF card using recovery software but its only finding files up to June last year, then 5 images from the few days im trying to recover.
Can anyone suggest what I can do to get them back?
Rookie mistake and forgot to back them up.

I would clone your card, sector by sector, and then perform a raw search. For example, if your JPEGs contain embedded text information such as a date/time stamp, then you could search for this text.

You could use the following tool to create an image of your CF card:
http://hddguru.com/software/HDD-Raw-Copy-Tool/Then use a hex editor (eg HxD) to view one of the recovered files. Look for date/time stamps near the beginning of the file. Then you could use HxD, or the tool of your choice, to search the image file for an appropriate date/time stamp.
