Need a lot of pattern 0x77 for investigation

October 11th, 2014, 16:55

Hello friends,

as all you know modern flash is usually very complicated, most of them have XORs to scramble the data. We provide investigations to find as many XORs as we can. The easiest way is work with flash filled with pattern 0x77 and than read them on flash reader. We need them a lot, standard Phison, AU, SM, IS, ITE, JMF etc, even rare or non standard. We prepare FTP server for this purpose (please for access contact me via PM). We cooperate with some users already (thanks HaQue, Alex etc.) and i hope all of you can help :)

I believe it will be helpful for all of us - more cases will be solved.

If you have any question, put it in this topic.

Hi, I have a lot, but my upload is fairly slow. It is not too bad because it is quicker than my preparation anyway :)

I was wondering if there were any you specifically want sooner and I can make them priority?

More different controllers - better. At this moment I do not have priority. Good think is that pattern after compress is quite small files :)

It would be nice get patterns for this devices: MMB3R04GUACA-GE, MMB3R08GUACA-GE, MMB3R16GUACA-GE.

It is a very good idea. But, I have a question (not a suggestion): Will the info be publicly available, or will it only be shared per person (per submission and resolution) ?

I plan to share my work in some way, though I don't physically have the time, the Web space/upload time/management etc to do it just now. If there is something that is needed, then post as usual and if I can help I will.
There may be times where business practice must trump goodwill, but I think in most cases sharing is ok.
