Hello Folks,
I do trying to recover information from 8gb usb flash drive
Looks like that chip is former SanDisk, just erased name (see photo for details)
but it is not just regular case, I think so.
Would you please help me to determine controller name, just I try to find some solution how to fix that, more info about ECC, XOR and etc

Here you have my solution for similar case. Controller name is IDE 5019SN-48-G (it should be rebranded AU6998), memory module is refurbished Sandisk.
Probably when you read dump, there will be software bad columns and you must remove it manually.

the only tool I know that cares kind of what controller name is, is flash doctor. and that field is informational, not an actual setting that has anything to do with reading the NAND.
What flash tools do you have, as it sounds like you may need more assistance. you should be concentrating reading the nand based on its properties, and worry about the controller after that

Just tried reread memory chip with AU6998, nothing new, still working on it.
AU it seems ALCOR, just got next case with controller ALCOR MICRO AU 6989SNHL-G
Will see, may be will be more clear
