back in the day I used a SATA protocol analyzer to capture the firmware by doing a Firmware Update.. It SandForce controllers actually used industry FW update commands unlike IndiLinx which had a proprietary FW load routine.

You've personally recovered SF drives by reprogramming ROMs or just the Revodrive?
