How do I remove pages from a dump in VNR. I have a Monolith that is a new chip (not in database). I have read the chip with the help of Gosha, but now I need to remove repeating pages (3 out of every 4 pages repeat). How do I do this?

"Don't care" is a genuine, widely used engineering term which means that the state of a particular signal is irrelevant. That is, the signal can be either a 1 or a 0 without affecting the output.
For example, an 8KB EPROM might use the same package and pinout as a 16KB EPROM. The only difference is that the latter makes use of an additional address bit. This additional bit is seen as "don't care" or "not connected" by the 8KB device.

ISTM that you have configured your tool to read a device with a capacity of 4X when its real capacity is only X. The device ignores the additional address bits and simply dumps an alias of itself.

Indeed you could be right, but setting up a new monolith chip is pretty complex (at least for me). Working out number of crystals and planes, plane, block and page size etc. This was initially set up by the VNR technician and he left a message for me to remove 3 out of 4 pages. I presumed it could be done through software as he would have set the chip to re-read with new parameters. Perhaps I didn't understand him correctly, I will check. Thanks for the input.

No, you "did" understand correctly, it can be done in VNR,
Sorry I can't help you with that cuz I have done it only once, and I'm not near the computer now to check it out, and I don't remember how to do it from memory
Let's wait for the stars of VNR to answer that

@ddrecovery I think config is wrong. I can try check it remotely - contact with me on skype or PM please. If config is wrong, need create correct one. I can also show you how cut the pages. Need use offset element.

This must be sandisk chip, we saw chips like that before. It does work in weird "pseudo-SLC" mode for some blocks (just in case check whether the whole dump has same duplicates or just 100-200 blocks at the beginning?).
If pages duplicated in the whole dump then it's easy to remove it. Use one of options Skip area/Extract area.

All values in bytes here

x = 4 x page size (four times page size)
y = 0
z = page size
After operation OFFSETS element will appear with 1/4 capacity, continue analysis here.
By doing so you periodically extract first page out of four. The offset element is extremely flexible, you can slice dump as you like, even assemble any weird RAID config if you need to (used couple of time for this).

I check it remotely. At this case config is wrong, because pinout is wrong. It is 16-bit chip.

I am assuming that the data lines have a specific layout, so knowing which order I presume is critical. I do not know how to define them. You can tell by me saying 'assuming' 'presume' that I have no idea.

I have both PC3K Flash and VNR, but defining pinouts on a Monolith is a whole different ballgame. However you are correct, we do need to start doing it.
