2 new SSD's ADATA SU650 240GB
I wanted to copy NTFS partition with partitionmanager (Linux). What I did: 1. actions in partition manager:
- create msdos partition table
- copy and enlarge NTFS partition (to fill whole SSD with it)
2. Clicked "proceed" and gone doing other stuff. After 3 hours I've got back and progress was still on 0%. iotop showed none transfers for 0,5 an hour. partitionmanger was unresponsive. I've replugged SSD and wanted to do it again, but right after clicking "proceed" in partition manager SSD was disappearing from /dev and need to be replugged again to be seen in /dev. I've tried directly through SATA and 2 different USB adapters, Windows, Linux, parted, TestDisk, dd, DMDE. Same result. journal threw a bunch of I/O errors. SMART self test showed ~500 I/O errors (but still PASSED). What I thought was: just a bad disk. I've asked my retailer for replacement.
They gave me new SSD, gone home, back to 1. and bumped on exactly same error.
Disks are unwritable, unmountable but still have access to RAW files.
I have a single question: what I did wrong?

is your PSU working correctly? have you tested the SSD smart report prior doing anything?
