The last one we had (256GB) was a broken controller but had been flexed so bad the NAND and PCB pads were torn. We wired it up and read the data. Unfortunately it was encrypted. Donors are getting more and more important these days since some new devices won't have a chip-off option, they might require a NAND and possibly a controller swap.
