If I remember correctly most of these are encoded with proprietary audio codecs, even if you get the data from the nand you're not going to be able to get anything useful from that data.

You can buy donors. Its standard procedure. I think nobody will give you client dumps.

I have had a couple of Panasonic VR's in over the years and from what I remember they were both eMMC. The last one I had was for deleted files and as @Lardman says they have proprietary codecs and the data was not recoverable. I even spoke to TS here in the US who in turn spoke to Olympus HO in Japan and they would not release any information about how the codecs work.
