Is there any new products and chipsets for nvme SSD casings?

May 9th, 2023, 10:03

nvme SSD's are getting popular day by day.
While for proper diagnostic of SSD through electronic checking is needed, often for logical recovery & basic initial diagnostics USB casing is a must.
There are few threads in this regard which were helpful .I want to know whether there is any new chipset for nvme SSD's USB casings ?
Some casings available are for USB 4.0 but there are exorbitantly prices and little information is available for there practical use.
Can anyone suggest best chipsets & casings from Data recovery perspective. (both type C and USB)

I don't know about everyone else but I couldn't care less about speed as long as it's stable. It's far more important to me that whatever is powering it that I can get at the drive with the probes.

Yes Lardman
When it comes to data recovery from unstable media , speed does not matter. Often we have to use PIO mode on hard disks .Thanks.

Thanks fzabkar , you have been great help as usual. Is that means Marvel chipset is phased out , RTL chipset has technical issues and we must choose asmedia based casings ?
