Cloning Sentinel Dongle

One of my customer has old software which requires dongle ,due to ageing dongle has started detection issues . Same software or dongle is no more available & customer wants to use same old version.
Is there any way to clone Dongle or to make its emulator

Just because something is on a USB stick and looks like a flash drive doesn't mean it's mass storage. These are hardware keys and are blocked from being copied.

I once had one in. I thought customer was sending a USB flash drive from which a serial number was to be recovered, turned out to be a sentinel dongle that wasn't detected or whatever. I told customer that only thing I could try was sort of refurbish the thing and hope for the best. It worked, I soldered new connector, re-soldered components, put it in some saved USB flash drive case. Only thing was connector was non standard so I had to look that up, was able to find schematics. I charged hours regardless the outcome.

Yes you are right , this is not flash storage .
But we can make clone or make USB emulator of the same by creating dump of the chip.
cloning electronic chips is very complex , despite all efforts of reading self erasable eprom of a control panel we never succeed.

had an issue years ago, and software was long out of production with vendor long gone as well. Normally wouldn't advise this, but we found a crack online that worked. This was for a leather cutting machine, and a very small shop, and new software to run it was out of the question. He showed me the legit original software box and had the faulty dongle. We did get in touch with someone that worked for the software company, but he was not tech enough to help and long broken ties. IIRC it was a HASP

You won't copy a Sentinel, that's not going to happen. An emulator would be quite difficult unless you are already familiar with sentinel dongles and reversing the protection, or use a 3rd party "dongle backup" such as https://vipdongle.com/mp/sentinel-hl-dongle-emulator-clone-get/ maybe the old one will dump?

Yes same situation here. I have dumped dongle & got clone from online service provider. Client is happy for salvaging his investments.
