As NVME has become mainstream ssd format , with limited support to nvme ssd, is it worth to upgrade pc3000 UDMA to pc3000 ssd ?
I don't have portable yet but would like to know its performance & opinion , supported SSD models etc so that in my coming renewal I will opt for it.
Thanks.

The list of supported drives/controllers
https://blog.acelab.eu.com/pc-3000-ssd- ... dated.htmlDon't forget the bump in initial price and ongoing support renewal costs when making a decision. Only you know if the number of
supported nvmes you are being sent to recover justifies the additional costs at the present time.
AFAIK there's no upgrade to portable from UDMA so it's a new purchase, there's no support for NVME drives in the UDMA version of SSD.

i have PC3K PORTABLE III WITH SSD EXTENSION, and support on NVE It's still very scarce, on SSD M.2 and SSD SATA the number of controllers is support is very good, so if u need a only NVE i dont think that the expense is worth it for you

Thanks a lot Lardman
Yes you are absolutely right 1) Initial upgrade & subsequent renewal costs are high 2) Only older models are supported 3) Future upgrades are not possible.
Thank you for perfect advice.

Considering NVME cases will be more in future , its absolutely not worth.
Thank you so much.
