Hello,

i got this USB Stick from a customer, with just broken USB connection, all pads are there, new USB connector set perfect.

and it still does not work.

there are 2x emmc connected to PS2251 - so i would say, i can't read them through reader.

V1 and V2 is 1,8 and 3,45V - looks legit to me :D

any idea what else could be damaged? - maybe when connector broke there was a short? thermal camera tells me controller starts up, emmcs are getting voltage - everything in normal temp area 35-45 degrees.

Be careful. Not all USB 3.0 connectors have the same pinout.

Also, is R02 (zero-ohm link) grounded?

Hello,

thx - yes both Zero ohms are grounded.

i first tried of course with original Connector, and behaviour is exactly the same. it goes to 0,07-0,1A - when i try to read ID via PC3k Portable - it goes up to 0,15A and just show me some Kingston info in ID field - but no serial/size and so on.

A quick google shows it to be a problematic combo. Think I'd start by either breaking the voltage to the emmc or pulling the chips to prove the controller.

Case has been solved. Problem with soldering of those chips. And it was encrypted by Datatraveler Vault.
